New Sentosa Island casino project

onstruction firm KSH Holdings  said on Wednesday that it has won a S$121 million  contract to build a luxury condominium project on Singapore’s Sentosa island. Gearing up for NY’s eve

NY’s eve is always fun, right?  There’s more going on in Marina Bay, but Sentosa should be fun to.

Some 150,000 people are expected to throng Marina Bay, south of the city, which will be the main venue for the celebrations.

The Urban Redevelopment Authority and Esplanade Arts Centre have lined-up various programmes for the event, including musical performances by a local group as well as the Singapore Youth Choir Ensemble on a specially constructed stage by the bay.

New year revellers will also be treated with an eight-minute musical fireworks display from a platform on the sea surface.

Besides Marina Bay, the new year countdown will also be celebrated in Siloso Beach on the island resort of Sentosa and in Orchard Road, Singapore’s popular shopping area.

New kind of race on the island

Last Sunday for the first time, wheelchair-bound youths and their able-bodied friends took part in the Amazing Wheelchair Race.  It was a race designed to capitalise on the strength and the skills of 30 wheelchair-bound youths and their 60 able-bodied peers.

Challenges such as the “trust walk” which required members to be blindfolded were attempted along the way.

Marine Park

The Marine Park at ResortsWorld at Sentosa should be pretty exciting everyone.  Its nice to see family attractions added to casinos.  Take a look at how they’re describing it:

With an emphasis on family fun, interactive multi-sensory experiences and ocean conservation inspiration, the Marine Life Park will quickly become a “must see” attraction in Southeast Asia and throughout the world, and a showcase for ocean science education, research and stewardship.
